Week 6 B Division Highlights


SCOHA 2002/2003
The last undefeated team has fallen - right out of first place. The Sharks are now one point back of the Flames and tied for second place with the Kings. The Avalanche is only one point back of them - stay tuned - things could change a lot next weekend. The Senators knocked off the Sharks 8-3 with the help of Sandy MacLeod's 4 goals and 1 assist. Jim Albanese scored twice and assisted twice while Glen Ross(3 assists) and John Myer added singles. Rick McFarlane netted 2 and Brian Perrotti scored once in response for the Sharks. Peter (last name undecipherable) had 2 assists for the Sharks.

The Avalanche snowed the Blues under 6-1. M. Baranowski scored twice and appears to have assisted on both of his own goals and one other. Marc Baronette chipped in with 1 goal and 2 assists. Warren Collins replied for the Blues.

Les Canadiens squeaked by the Canucks with a goal with 17 seconds left in the game. For the Canadians, Henry Marfisi potted 2 goals with singles going to Wayne Paxton(1 assist) and Dom Giusani (sp?) and Joe Venditti had 2 assists. Gino Tittarelli, D. McLean and unnamed #19 replied for the Canucks.

The Flames doubled up the Stars 4-2 with Stephen Bomberry finding the back of the net twice as Frank McLellan(2 assists) and R. Martin found it once each.Dave Malcovich a nd Mario Faccillo (sp?) replied for the Stars. Doug Tunis had 2 helpers.

The Kings crowned the Flyers 6-2 getting goals from Bruce (#11)(1 assist), Kirk Charbonneau, Wayne Davis, Vince Mercuri(3 assists), Paul Vespa and Frank Vespa(1 assist). Even the Goalie got in the act with Doug Russell getting an assist. Chris D. and Steve Lee replied for the Flyers. Bill Reid provided 2 helpers.
