Tie Breaking Formula for Regular Season and Play-offs
a) In the event of two (2) teams tied at the end of the regular season, the following tie breaker format will be used =
1) Record against other tied team
2) Total wins
3) goals for minus goals against (+ / -)
(note) difference between goals scored by a team and the goals scored against that
team over the regular season.
4) least goals against over the regular season.
5) Least penalty minutes over the regular season.
6) Toss of a coin
b) In the event of three (3) or four (4) teams tied after the regular season, the following tie breaker format will be used=
1) Total wins
2) goals for minus goals against (+ / -)
(note) difference between goals scored by a team and the goals scored against that
team over the regular season.
3) least goals against over the regular season.
4) Least penalty minutes over the regular season.
5)Toss of a coin
2024/2025 Masters Division play-offs
The First , second and third place teams play a round robin against the fourth, fifth and sixth place teams. This takes 3 games (weeks) .
1st vs 4th - 2nd vs 4th - 3rd vs 4th
1st vs 5th - 2nd vs 5th - 3rd vs 5th
1st vs 6th - 2nd vs 6th - 3rd vs 6th
Then the top four teams are re-seated and play a semi-final 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 with the winners advancing to the Championship / 5th and 6th placed teams will play Wannabe Cup.
2024/2025 Untied Division and Grand Masters Division Play-offs
Each team will play the other 3 teams in the division. This takes 3 games (weeks) .
Then the four teams are re-seated and play a semi-final 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 with the winners advancing to the Championship.
There are no timeouts in the round robin series (1st round).
3 game round robin– (1st round)
All 1st and 2nd round games are the same as regular season games . (2 – 16 min. periods)
Championship games are 2 – 20 min. periods with a flood between 1st and 2nd periods. Two (2) points will be awarded for a win, one (1) point for a tie. There will be no overtime during round robin series. (1st Round)

B) In the event of three (3) or four (4) teams tied after round robin series, the following tie breaker format will be used = “B” rules are used to break all three (3) or four (4) teams tied
1) Total wins (example. 1 win beats 2 ties)
2) goals for minus goals against (+ / -)
(note) difference between goals scored by a team and the goals scored against that
team over the 3 game (1st round).
3) least goals, against over the 3 game (1st round).
4) most goals for, over the 3 game (1st round)
5) Least penalty minutes over the 3 game (1st round).
6) record against other team in regular season
7)Toss of a coin
In the event of a tie game, Round #2 and #3 (Semi & Championship Games) will be decided by;
1) Five (5) minutes stop time, sudden victory - Four (4) skaters plus a goalie, change only on the fly.
Any penalties in regulation play carries over into the overtime. (play 4 skaters to 3 skaters)
2) If still tied a sudden victory shoot-out will take place, Home team will decides, to shoot first or shoot second, shooters go individually. Both teams will shoot 3 times and the team with the most goals wins. If still tied, the 4th shooter and on is sudden death, first to score while the opponent fails to score, wins. All players must have had a shot prior to a player taking a second shot.
Any Player serving a penalty that has not expired at the end of the five (5) minute overtime is ineligible to participate in the shootout.
3) Each team has one (1) 30 sec timeout per Semi & Championship Games.
> When a team needs a backup goalie (of the same rating), we use goalies in the same division first, spare list second and goalies from the other division third.
