This Week in SCOHA – April 6th, 2020
STARK REMINDER EDITION
A lot of us have had enough. I don’t care about bunnies eating apples on Youtube or some idiot tiger salesman on Netflix, I want my hockey back!
While the long list of optimists is depleting by the day, this slugger is remaining positive we will finish our season at some point even if we do it with no fans in the arena. Tempers are running pretty thin around town. Stars Dale Brons got chased by some wild geese down at Confederation Park after he fed them some stale croutons. He ended up rolling an ankle, fell to the paved path, and several geese smothered him like flies on a rib roast. Doctors are pretty sure he will recover by the time hockey starts again.
Intermediate goalkeeper Steve Cuthbert was seen going for a light jog over the weekend. He said he is getting used to wearing a covid-19 mask and might wear it under his goalie mask when play resumes for the ultimate ninja look.
Meanwhile, Flyers Dave Wichman is already exploring the depths ahead of this summer’s draft. He went on 4 scouting missions overseas so after his 56 day mandatory isolation, he will have a pretty good idea how his team will look like next season.
Thumbs up to Masters Kings goalkeeper Scott Johnson who has been busy on the sewing machine making covid-19 masks for pets. At last check, he was pretty happy to put the scissors to a few loud shirts he received this past Christmas.
Other than that, things are pretty dry on the SCOHA front.
Bill posted a few classic SCOHA photos on the facebook page a few weeks ago. If you have any that you want to add, feel free to add them or email some over and we will add them for you. Always fun to see some old photos when we all had more hair and 20 less pounds….
Well that puts a cap on the pen of another week of non-action in Scohaville. Hope we don’t hear of any yardwork injuries. Have a great rest of the week, fellas!
