Week 5 Highlights

SCOHA 2002/2003
Week 5 is in the books and we still have 3 undefeated teams in the A division and 1 in the B division. Ties are the order of the week with 3 junior and 2 senior tilts ending in sister kissers. In A play, Dangerous Dan Austin scored 2 goals in a losing effort to the Canucks - Mike Archer chipped in 2 for the winners. There were a few tense moments for the undefeated but oft-tied Canucks who have been known to hand over single points in the dying minutes.

The Flyers tied the undefeated Blues (formerly known as Sabres) 2-2.

Rangers and Stars tied 3-3 in a see-saw contest as did the Flames and Bruins. Someone on the Bruins bagged a hattrick, but I couldn't decipher the printed name or the signature. Congrats #13. John Zanon potted 2 for the Flames.

The Sharks dropped the Leafs from the ranks of the undefeated 3-2. Tony Rimac assisted all 3 Sharks goals and Tom Burns paid me big bucks to mention that he scored as well.

Actually guys - if I could read your "printing" (forget about your writing ...) I could post more goal scorers. I only mentioned Tom because I could actually read his.

Senior Sunday saw scintillating play by several squads. The Canadians blanked the Avalanche 3-0. Dino Guldice had a goal and an assist as did Marfisi Henry. #22 had 2 helpers.

The Flyers' Tom Boric scored with 10 seconds to go to salvage a tie 2-2 with the Senators. Sandy MacLeod had a goal and a helper for the Sens.

The Flames outplayed the Blues 7-1. Frank Mclellan led the way with a goal and 3 assists, Lou H. had 2 goals and a helper as did Jim Gibz.

$16 Rick McF???? (can't read it!!) popped all 4 goals for the Sharks in a 4-3 win over the Canucks. #44 scored twice for the Canucks.
In another sister kisser, the Stars and Kings dueled to a 4-4 draw. Paul V. tied it with 20 seconds on the clock after G. Hass had given the Stars a lead with 1 minute to go with his second goal of the night.
